I’m helping a contractor update paging for Milwaukee Public Schools. We’re changing all the amplifiers in all the schools.
We’re interfacing the paging cabinets with the school time-clocks and the phone systems. The old time-clock buzzers are being removed and the annoying horns are replaced by pleasant chimes through the overhead loudspeaker paging systems.
Regards,
Jerry

Bogen offers Universal Telephone Interface (UTI) for Self-Amplified Paging Systems and Telephone Systems that work great and cost less than (un)-comparable systems.

They make one mistake on their site. Everybody thinks this is just for Self-Amplified Systems. It’s not. This will interface any phone system to any paging system – it will even interface to VOIP systems.

I was on a conference call with another contractor recently…he was basically building a proprietary interface system with a lot of time and materials involved. I like this fellow’s work but I pointed out that the Bogen UTI would do all the things he wanted for a fraction of the cost. Besides that, the next phone / paging guy that comes along will better understand the Bogen UTI because it is built to industry standards (and sets the standard, in my opinion) – not jury-rigged to accomplish the phone, night bell, paging and other interface tasks.

The Bogen UTI is fully-programmable with a plain ordinary phone plugged into the built-in jack.

Good job, Bogen!

Regards,
Jerry

Don Bivens has retired after many years in the industry. Don inherited the title The Doc by everyone he ever worked with or trained.

I received excellent training from the Doc. This man gave much to the Overhead Paging Industry because he loved it.

Don traveled all over the country Training and doing Paging Demo’s. He loved what he was doing and it showed.

If you had a paging problem, Don could heal it.

I met up with Don while vacationing in Arizona this March. He is doing well.

He said he was no longer active in the Industry. I didn’t think he could do it.

He hung up his guns…..

He is retired, but not gone.
